notes cont.

Quoted from Rules:

Goals
- Your couple must have 14 children and raise them to young adult.
- Name your children using a theme or same letter. (Theme: CRAYON COLORS)
- The parents both have to aim to achieve their Lifetime wish or Aspiration.
  • Academic
  • Painter Extraordinaire :check:

Rules
- Only one parent can get outside employment. The other parent has a stay at home to look after the children, but they can contribute to the family income by writing, painting, gardening, etc.
- TS4 Story Mode CANNOT be used to create sims, as that give an unfair money advantage!
- Life extenders and occults are allowed. They might struggle to create their 14 children, before becoming elderly, otherwise.
- All the children must have the same two parents to be countable. Any "Affair" / plant / adopted / alien babies do not count as one of your 14.
- Randomly roll all of the childrens traits.
- Multiple births count, and lucky you, you don't have so many pregnancies to endure. However you do incur a points loss for each multiple birth you have.
- No money cheats
- No mod use. Once game play starts, mods can only be used to fix glitches. (You may use mods to ensure the family tree stays intact for all of the genetics to play into the birth of the children, though)
- No using birthday cakes or early aging up. The children must age up naturally in the game. TS4 may use birthday cakes but only on Day 0 of aging up!
- Toddlers need to be taught their skills and potty trained, This means up to level 3 for TS4 toddler skills.
- No boarding school.
- If a child dies, they must be replaced. Each childs genetic colour points only come into play when they become a young adult.
- Once a child has become an adult, they must leave the house.

The challenge ends when the 14th child becomes a young adult, or earlier if either of the parents die.

I found it to be very difficult to kill off three generations at the beginning of this challenge. They have a nice underground memorial now.
Image

I could not decide what naming theme to give the children. Then I thought of colors. It has since morphed into Crayon Colors specifically. This picture is my inspiration.
Image

The mom has completed her aspiration. I found it to be the easiest. Its the painting one. The dad is far in completing his now. Its not as easy but I think its fun. Academic is what his is. They have two kids. Peach and Gray are girl and boy.

The picture at the end there is super cute! You are doing well so far. In looking at your founding picture I feel like I should have dressed my founders in more color-matching clothes so I could more easily tell them apart and who was who for my blog. :D

Ezequiel and Erica Illusions have four kids now. Two girls and two boys. Too bad this isn't my baby boom save. That would be a nice even start to it. Erica finished her aspiration of painting and now is working, half-heartedly, on the writing one. She is pregnant with their fifth child.

Ezequiel is almost complete with his Academic aspiration. All he has to do is get his degree and find a job with that degree. We have about 10 more credits to go but 4 of those are almost done. He's working on his final exams for this semester.

Awww, you are welcome. Those kids are cuties so far! You are brave to put someone through school with this many kids. :) I'm sure there are tips for handling uni better than I have, although it is fun.

I'm not brave, just crazy. One tip I could share for dealing with uni is to get all homework done immediately after enrolling for semester. Then since you will still have a day or two until classes begin, get the term paper and presentation done too if you can. You can get this done as soon as possible after enrolling so you can then relax and rebuild your needs before the day classes begin.

The other parent will be caring for the kids during this time. When my toddlers are up to 3 on all their skills, I let them rule their own activities unless extra care is needed. When a toddler becomes a child, they are a great help cleaning potty chairs, messes, puddles and other things, giving mom/dad more time to spend on the youngest one's skills. If any of the kids need attention they can enjoy each other's company. Or they can talk and hug the stuffed bear.

My family has 50 points so far with genetics and a completed aspiration. I'm encouraged by that. Orchid is the little cutie in the white dress on the right.

Aww Orchid is a cutie. It's an interesting challenge. Some people I've seen play in 4 didn't get much diversity. I have gotten a fair amount so far, it's fun to see how it goes.

I love seeing diversity in genetics. I hope this family has a lot of it. Its good that you've gotten a fair amount.

Another baby has been born. Number five. Did you know that Beaver is a crayon color? The latest baby boy got this name. I hope he gets nice colors.

Beaver has given us a pleasant surprise. He did not give us anything for his default brown hair. But he did give us +25 because he inherited Gen B blue eyes! It made me happy to see that the older generations can still pass on their genetics. After Beaver made us happy, along came his little sister Scarlet. I hope she lives up to her name and gives us colors we can count.

Well hello there! It has been a very long time. I have some good news and bad news. The good news is, I get a clean slate to start new challenges! The bad news is: ALL of my save games have been deleted. So, I request this story be placed in the graveyard.
