Dear Diary,
I'm finally on my own! No more mischievous foster siblings. Sadly no more sweet ones either. There is no time for depressed reflections. I have a life to live. My own life! You'd never guess where I am. Being on a world far far away in some other galaxy is just the distraction I need. Kicked out with a teddy bear, my sweet little Teddy I grew up with; And surprise of all surprises my 'throw away' mom left me a diary. I haven't read it yet. I don't want to right now. How can I give up a lifetime of hurt just like that? Do I want to get to know her thoughts and read it, no way! Maybe someday. For now there is fun to be had!

Dear Diary,
I apologize for not writing to you for what seems like a lifetime. So much has happened. To summarize, I met a scoundrel on Batuu. He was so cute! I couldn't resist his charms. To anyone reading this, please take a lesson from my mistake. Don't fall for the first cute guy to come along. Before I knew it, he was back on my home planet, married me, and dashed my university dreams to dust by getting me pregnant. I sigh as I write this Diary. Yes I do love him. I am already in love with the life within me. Why do I feel so empty? Maybe its because I've become resigned to one fact. My University dreams have become nothing but dust. My first semester went splendidly. I got highest grades in my class. It could have been great to get that degree. Now it will never happen. I will not give this child up like my mother gave me up. I refuse. I choose something my mother did not. I choose my child instead of my dreams. I wish she had done the same.
