2015 Holiday Wishlist Event

It's that time of year! When you have to watch your credit card statement go up and up and up...er, I mean, when you're showing your loved ones how much you care about them with gifts! So we want to know: what's on your wishlist this year?

The main thing I want is some nice noise cancelling headphones because my suitemates are loud af. I've hinted pretty heavily at it for my work secret santa, though, so fingers crossed on that. Other than that...can't really think of much. It's weird, throughout the year I always see things and am like, ooh, that would be nice to have! But now that people are actually asking me what I want I can't even think of anything. Think it's partly because I'm always so busy that I wouldn't really have time to use any fun gifts. And necessities I just buy for myself.

Although board games would be nice!

I've had a hard time answering the "what do you want?" question this year, but I've managed to think of 4 things:

- I'd like some new watercolours, as there's not much paint left in the tin I currently have.
- Can't have new paint without new brushes, right? Although I'd rather have some finer ones that those in the picture.
- An upside down triangle necklace on a reasonably long chain. I think it would look great with some of my winter jumpers.
- And a Little Miss Sunshine mug, as that has become my identifier with my housemates

I'm more excited about giving presents this year, as I've tried really hard.

I am really bad at wishlists and asking for things, so here is my attempt.

- One of my Christmas wishes already came true, which was getting a full-time job that pays a living wage, so I'm already pretty thrilled with that. However, I would like my boyfriend to also get a full-time job that pays a living wage, because he is very, very underemployed right now and he is not enjoying it.
- A Wii U would be nice. I've wanted to get one for a while, but grad school and not having money kind of got in the way of that.
- A slow cooker. This is also something my boyfriend and I have wanted for a while.
- Habs tickets. Boyfriend and I have been in the Land of the Leafs (and before that the Sea of the Sens) for far too long, though this is our own fault since we did move here on purpose.
- A new pair of Sorels (snow boots, if you're unfamiliar with the brand) so my feet can be warm and dry if and when it snows. My current pair are going on four years old (they were a Christmas 2011 gift!) and not completely waterproof anymore.
- A dog. Or a cat. Something that is furry and cute and not a rodent, really.

I sort maybe bought my own Christmas gifts this year. But only because everyone was so excited for Camille last year that they forgot about me. This year I'm making sure I get something.

I know what I'm getting for Christmas and I'm super excited! I never have a wishlist bc I never need anything but I found out I'm going to Amsterdam in February! I'm also going to treat myself in the boxing day sales with some cross stitchy stuff

My family doesn't celebrate Christmas with gifts (it's a bit less of a thing in the Netherlands), but of course I always have a wish list of things I like to get!
The list below is purely materialistic, but of course I also do wish for a happy Christmas with all of my friends and family in good health. Also, world peace.

These things are SO expensive, but I would really like one...


I've been meaning to buy a ukulele for quite some time now, but simply haven't.
