I fell short of my own goal, even though I got the gold pencil at least ^.^ Between bugs and medicine changes I had too much trouble to get updates out every day. I'm determined to get back on track though (and not start any new challenges because that always kills my legacies). I still have the goal of completing my legacy by the end of the year.

Challenges like this really help with motivation - I'd love to see it come back next year sometime!

I just finished writing chapter two, in spite of my other (and more important) commitments. Hopefully I'll have that up by tomorrow and finish the third one before the end of the month, without my schoolwork taking a toll :melting:

Don't you even stress about it! I totally get how school can be. School ate me alive. :hissyfit:

With only six days left, I wanted to give a little inspiration and pep to everyone. This has been so awesome and even if there are other factors to getting your posts done, I want to make sure everyone feels good!

You can do it! You can meet your goal! And if you don't, you still did awesome and amazing! :#1: :drinks:

Dang it - I am going to die on the vine at 6 updates. I tried to play today and I just can't continue it :( I am going to start something new once City Living comes out next week...

Thanks Livvielove and Jess!

I have 8 slides down out of 83, with only three days to go (but really the amount of time I have left after subtracting school, sleeping and social life, I have less than 24 working hours :sigh: :sigh: :sigh: ).

I'm also on update #6 and just need to find the willpower to edit the next part but I do have the day off today so I guess that's my plan for today sorted :)

Well, I tried to play the other day and my game crashed. I then was really stupid and used the hood checker without backing up my neighborhood. It now does not show up when I load the game and it is listed as Unknown in SimPe. So, I had to toss it out. I do have a backup from the end of round 6, but I would be replaying the same 7 households that I have already used for my posts. There is no way I can get out 7 houses plus 3 extra by Monday. So I am officially stuck at 7 updates.

I am just so glad that I had a backup and I don't have to replay much.

I've been busy and the game has been boring--I totally thought I would have gotten out more chapters than I have os far! :( I really miss toddlers. I think after I finish this I might go back to sims 3 for a while...

I'm wondering if I'm crazy for still trying to go for silver. I have about 50% of update #5 written, and I don't work tonight so I might be able to pull off two more updates before my shift tomorrow.

I hate when life gets in the way of things. Blargh. :indifferent:

Aww, thank you Fiona! I just posted update #6. I think I need a bit of a break before attempting update #7. I might try to post that final one before my shift tomorrow night. I might just make silver! :jawdrop:

This event has been a lot of fun! I'd definitely enjoy seeing it again next year, whether it's in October or any other month. :)

Everyone has done so well with this! :uhoh: I'm seriously slacking - just published my second update and am desperately hoping I can pull together one more before tonight so that it wasn't all for nothing. Well, it wouldn't be for nothing, because I broke through whatever was stopping me (read: incorrigible laziness) from starting this generation. But we'll see if I make it to medal range or not. :P

(Admittedly, October is my busiest IRL month by far, but that's no excuse. I will try harder next year!!)

Probably going to leave everything open for one more day, since I'm staying at a friend's house, and have a class to attend tomorrow morning. ;) Enjoy the extension! (Unless Abby wants to take care of finishing things up.)

^ ^ Actually so excited to hear this, since I rushed to get my third update done and ended up missing midnight by a few minutes due to technical catastrophes. Phew!

This was the very first event I've ever participated in and it was awesome! I had a lot of fun and really got back into enjoying writing chapters until the wee hours of the morning! Everyone was really supportive and encouraging of each other. I even managed to write 10 chapters to BOTH my stories, everything was just so inspiring!

So, thanks guys! Thanks for an awesome October! :spin:

I haven't written as much as I wanted to, but it was very inspiring to keep going even when I was struggling. Bugs kind of drowned my will to play, but hopefully I'll pick up again soon, even without an event to spur me on!

Congratulations for everyone for great effort! I'm surprised and pleased by the number of people who hit 10+ updates! Even those going for the other medals deserve super praise, not everyone is made of time!

Congrats everyone, regardless of the amount of updates you achieved! We still need to work out a month to hold this next year, but I think it's safe to safe that this was a pretty huge success, and will be returning. ;)

Thanks again to MichelleCYoung for the suggestion! :highfive:
