1. We always have questions for those who just graze our lives, never fully coming into contact with them, but depending on the kind of person we are will change how we perceive thing. Tess may question when she's younger and many others around her have moms in the same way we might ask our parents why we can't have the latest trend that others have... despite this Tess seems like a smart girl, and I think that as she grows she'll find herself and look less to others to determine who she is, including those who only grazed her life for a short while.
2. Having a lot of family can be a mixed blessing. Having a lot of family who are your friends is a gift. I feel that close friends will stay closer through mutual ties such as family, however, I also feel there will be side effects for Tess' romantic life in the future. Given all of her friends right now are related, she may be more reckless in her romantic endeavors. Potentially leaping first before looking as she grew up understanding that family are friends, so lovers are others.[/mod]

I'd love a perfect spouse for my final Queen Bee child, Alyssa Holiday (child of Nikki and Josh).

She is the final child, rather a lot younger than her closest sibling (who was a child bordering on teen when she was born). As such, she was doted on as a baby and toddler, with plenty of teenagers around to play with her, but never really had someone close to her own age that she could play with at home. She was born in Bridgeport, but the family moved to Sunlit Tides when she was a toddler, so she only remembers clear blue skies and fine white sand. Her father and most of her siblings are mermaids, but she likes being human - mostly because she can eat a range of food, not just fish all the time!
Though she knows her parents love her, they seem to love one another rather more, and leave her to her own devices most of the time. By the time she ages up to teen, most of her siblings were grown and out of the house, leaving her to navigate (no pun intended) puberty with only her sister Gwen in the house for advice. She doesn't really know what she wants out of a partner, but she hopes she will eventually find someone to love her like her parents love one another.
