the new update installed, and when I tried to re-enable cc and now my sims are completely unresponsive, any suggestions?

Did you try loading anything without CC and mods? If it works without that stuff, the problem is in there and you should use the "divide and conquer" method of sorting to find the piece that is breaking things. This was a fairly extensive patch, so it's likely it broke some mods and maybe even some CC, at least until they're updated. On the other hand, if it's doing it even without CC and mods, I'd try repairing your game through Origin and hope for the best. I realize this is all fairly basic info, but I hope some of it helps.

I had that problem today after patching, I think. I have no cc. My Sims froze, but the sound and time kept going. When I minimised to desktop and then brought it back up it unfroze.

The patch disabled all of my mods/cc. I had to reenable, then shut down and restart. But no problems since, although I am not playing an existing game, but creating a new one.

ok I fixed it- I uninstalled it all and reinstalled it piece by piece. Still lost a lot of it but it's mostly working now

Patches and mods definitely don't play nice together. Glad you got it working.
