Re: SEASONS!!
I have already scheduled a day on the Monday after it releases. And depending on the timing, I might leave early on Friday - but I have my housekeeper in on Friday so I don't want to be playing while she is cleaning so maybe she can come on Thursday...

Re: SEASONS!!
Definitely excited!! I've been waiting for this expansion pack ever since I got into playing TS4 last year! And it looks so cool judging by the trailer!
Re: SEASONS!!
Just downloading it now - has anyone else bought it yet?

Re: SEASONS!!
Yes, I got it yesterday evening and played it for a little while! I really like it so far, even if it's only been Spring in my game with lots of rain.
It does seem to have made my game slightly laggy, but that might just be my C: disk being way too full. I hope to play some more today!
I really like the calendar with the holidays (and the option to make it a day off or not - I hated Sims 3 Seasons because of all the mandatory holidays; my Sims had days off more often than not because of that...) and all the events. The weather forecast near the clock is also really cool and there's a thermostat you can use to heat up or cool down your home. I'm not sure yet about the changes to gardening, but it seems alright.

Re: SEASONS!!
I stayed up late Thursday and downloaded it and then played it for a few hours. Then took off work on Friday and played all day. I like it so far - by am playing in Newcrest which is apparently a rainforest because it rains so much. I would say Seattle but with heatwaves LOL.
Re: SEASONS!!
I have played for a few hours and I'm enjoying it so far. However my game crashed so I've lost a lot of what I've played. Wah, so annoying.
I'm interested by what you said about Newcrest Teresa - do the different neighbourhoods have different climates? I've only played Oasis Springs and I played Fall and it was quite warm throughout, and entered winter with no sign of snow yet! No rain either! That may make sense if neighbourhoods have different 'climates' so to say!

Re: SEASONS!!
Carl's guides have a chart for each of the neighborhoods, but yes, it makes sense, each one has its own seasonal personality. Oasis Springs is a desert so not much of a winter there. Brindleton Bay rarely gets warm - just in the summer. Forgotten Hollow is always cloudy.
I have been trying out the scouts for the children/teens. So far my child sim is up to Unicorn Scout.

Re: SEASONS!!
Has anyone else noticed that every sim seems to be afraid of thunderstorms? What do you think of that?

Re: SEASONS!!
Yes, mine are too! Toddlers get sad and adults get a little tense. I think it's alright. My adults don't seem to mind it all that much. The toddlers getting sad is a little annoying sometimes, but on the other hand I guess it's realistic as well. I was terrified of thunderstorms as a kid too, and I still get tense now.

Re: SEASONS!!
My sister's sims have a cat that gets tense and runs in circles during the storms.

Re: SEASONS!!
@Anne: I can understand some of the adults being scared, but not everyone is scared of storms. I myself love storms, so I was a little disappointed to see that every sim got tense. Oh well
@Teresa: lol! That's hilarious!
