Re: Most used Cheat
I use "plumbbobtoggle off" for nice pictures. Besides decorating cheats and fixing glitches, I don't usually use cheats much.

Re: Most used Cheat
It's been a while since I've played the Sims 2, but whenever I would play I would hands down use the friends cheat or just the TestingCheats cheat. SO useful!

Re: Most used Cheat
plumbbobtoggle off (or just "bob" thanks to the usercheat file). I use it pretty much every time I enter a lot. Though now that I've found a mod that hides the plumbbobs, the quartertileplacement cheat or snaptogrid false will probably top the list. Or moveobjects.

"plumbbobtoggle off"
"showheadlines off"
I don't count the grid snap, quarter tile, or 45% angle cheats as cheats... then again, these two aren't cheaty either!
So it's probably kaching or maxmotives.

Re: Most used Cheat
I always maxmotives when I first move sims into a lot, because it just doesn't make sense to me to start out already needing to pee. And if I have the reagents and the magic skill for a whole lot of benemoodus populous spells, AND I'm doing the downtown time warp, I'll save myself the play time, and just max motives. But only if I have the reagents and skill for it, and not while the sim is at home on "real" time.
My simself is a shameless user of boolprop testingcheatsenabled. Simself powers, for the win! Especially good for setting up stuff for story-telling. My "real" sims, for challenges and the like, don't get to use it, but simselves and their cohorts, that need story-telling stuff to happen? Oh, yeah. Make Selectable is a big one.
In fact, I frequently have to use "make selectable" on stray pets, because I click the option to greet the pet, and then the queue gets wiped out, and the option just goes away, even if they only just arrived on the lot! So, as long as I TRIED to greet them, first, I feel OK doing "Make selectable" on the pets, then immediately making them unelectable again, and they are strays, and my sims can interact with them, just as normal strays, and then they leave JUST before I can adopt them. So it's all good.
I don't really consider the move_objects, 45 degree angle, snaptogrid, and the like to be cheats. They are building tools. Although, I'm not allowed to use them for building an apocalypse house. Much. OK, I use them for the desk locators, but that's only because I absolutely despise searching the lot for lost homework. Otherwise, I am pretty vanilla in my home design. Every now and then I'll do the floor elevation (or is it wall elevation? See how often I don't use it?) for special buildings.

Re: Most used Cheat
Plumbbobtoggle when I'm in live mode, plus familyfunds to "pay" taxes in my BaCC. I use the basic build cheats mentioned above for building. Money cheats only if it's part of a challenge setup. I have only ever used maxmotives when staging a scene takes a long time, but I don't stage anymore.
Re: Most used Cheat
"Maxmotives" and "testingcheats" are my go-tos. I used to use maxmotives all the time but then I realized my game wasn't as fun with everyone having their needs on high all the time. So I only use it in dire situations, like a pregnant sim who is on the brink of death because she needs to eat and sleep.

I don't use cheats in The Sims 4 and normally I'm not for it but I've found myself cheating in my Sims 2 - Boolprop testing then making all happy. I also discovered you could manipulate relationships and skills! That was a fun day for me

Re: Most used Cheat
I hear you on the thing about having the needs on high all the time. Oh, sure, it's great for staging and stuff, and I really like having a wonderful community lot where people can skill and socialize forever, but it does pale, eventually. There's a reason I burned that lot down.Cherelle wrote:"Maxmotives" and "testingcheats" are my go-tos. Even having snapdragons all over pales, after a while. I like knowing I can design a house that makes my sims happy, even without the passive perks. It takes effort, and direction, and time, but the challenge is part of the fun.
Of course, now and then, I just HAVE to go the snapdragon-venue route, because it's very lucrative. Even if you don't own the business, but just go there and dig for treasure until you pass out, you can dig so much longer, it's just really a great way to make money. But it's also OK to skip the flowers and Jumboks and quills completely.
I have had pregnant sims die from pregnancy. It's both scary and annoying, especially if the family is not in a position to raise them, or if they live alone. I totally failed a challenge that way, once upon a time.
