Neighborhoods
Neighborhoods
What are some of your favorite neighborhoods from the sims store? which one do you think is most worth the money? Im thinking of buying one but im not sure witch one comes with the most bang for my buck you feel?
Re: Neighborhoods
I don't have any of them aside from Riverview, since it's free, but I've heard very good things about Sunlit Tides.

Re: Neighborhoods
I like Monte Vista but it always felt cramped to me. I also like Lucky Palms because it is wide open, although I wish it wasn't a desert. Dragon Valley feel way too dark but then so does Midnight Hollow. Makes taking pictures a pain even during the day. Lunar Lakes is cramped and vertical (you can tell I live in Texas as I prefer low and wide rather than tall and narrow). If you are buying just one though, I would go with Sunlit Tides. It is open and bright and the houses look good.

Re: Neighborhoods
Do you have to have Island Paradise in order to use Sunlit Tides? I'm thinking about getting another world, but I don't really know which are compatible with which expansion packs, if you know what I mean.

Re: Neighborhoods
To the best of my knowledge, you don't need any expansion packs for it to work and it was released before Island Paradise, so you wouldn't need that EP.Anne wrote:Do you have to have Island Paradise in order to use Sunlit Tides? Re: Neighborhoods
Yeah the store worlds are not specific to any particular expansion, in fact, I dont like the world that came with Island Paradise. Isla Paradiso is a pain to navigate.
Re: Neighborhoods
Sunlit Tides is awesome! It does take some time for people to get to work/ school. But it's a beautiful world, and I really like the objects in it.

Re: Neighborhoods
I think Sunlit Tides is breathtaking. It's the only store world I've played in extensively.

I think I also need to add that my favorite world next to sunlit tides is Aurora Skies. I love it so much, probably because it has a northern european feel, which I love, and it loads pretty quickly for me!

Re: Neighborhoods
I have never played in Aurora Skies. I will need to set one of my challenges there.

I'm playing an ISBI in Aurora Skies, and I love it! The volcanic mountains and the waterfalls towering over the town just really get me.

Re: Neighborhoods
I caved and bought all the Store hoods. They looked so nice, I couldn't resist.
I've only checked out a few so far, but here are my thoughts:
Barnacle Bay is pretty bland. I like it because pirates are one of my special interests, but yeah, not a lot going on there.
Sunlit Tides is GORGEOUS. Very big, too. My only complaint is the lack of multi-bedroom homes affordable straight out of the bin.
Roaring Heights is also quite lovely. I adore the highrise buildings in the center!
I'll check out more of them soon, and I'll post my thoughts on 'em.

Re: Neighborhoods
I like Hidden Springs. There are alpine mountains, a small centre and a lot of space outside the city if you need big lots. The only downside is the horrible city park.
Barnacle Bay is boring, yes, but it's small, so I'm using it for my legacy, so that it doesn't take that much to do everything. And finally, I love Monte Vista, probably because it looks more like a city from my country than an american suburb, which is something quite far from my culture and thus a bit mysterious!

Re: Neighborhoods
Okay, I've fallen in love with Midnight Hollow.
There's the lovely gothic victorian theme of it, and the whole town is just so whimsical! All the sims are strange or eccentric in some way, and no one is truly normal. (Are any of you fans of Welcome to Night Vale? Because it's definitely comparable to Night Vale.) One of my favorites from the previous games, Olive Specter, is even in it, along with Nervous Subject.
Also, all the things that come with it, especially the female clothes and hair, are to DIE for.

Re: Neighborhoods
I don't have any of the sore neighborhoods (other than Riverview.) But from what I seen I think Sunlit Tides is my favorite. The only thing stopping me from buying it is that I don't know how well it would run on my computer.
