The Parisshian Legacy (of sorts)- Heir ?!? 30.10.16 *update*

Post by RavenAngel888 »

OK, so if it wasn't for the Olympics, I probably would never have the guts to do this :faint:
Other than a really crappy attempt at NaNo (you can find the prologue on that same WP blog), I have never written anything other than English essays for school and long-winded assignments for Varsity...
Please be gentle :begging:
I will try update when I have the time, but RL is crazy busy, so I don't think I'll have a regular update schedule as such

CHAPTERS
Chapter 1.1
A little bit of background
Chapter 1.2
Chapter 1.3
Please don't hate me
Karquin Parisshian
Heir #2
Heir #3
Hehehehehehe

Thanks Chels  I should have another chapter up sometime on friday or saturday (I have a butt-load of random screenies I have to sort through lol) if the "dialogue" ever seems a bit disjointed, well, that's cuz I write how I think and my brain is a weird place

Edit: I love how everyone puts their comments in "spoilers" it's really cool so people don't get, well, spoilers lol (although, I ALWAYS read them cuz my curiosity just won't let me do otherwise lol)

Thanks all

I can't promise this will be very story orientated, but I do know my Sims have a tendency to break the 4th wall at will, so, it might get interesting lol who knows

Sorry for the double post, but that's allowed if it's your own story, right?

*extortion attempt* due to the current fiscal crisis experienced in my country, the next Parisshian chapter will be held to ransom until the "princely" sum of US$50 has been deposited in my PayPal account

 jk, but if someone did wanna sponsor my next EP, I'd be forever grateful (and name a spare in the legacy after any name you choose!)

Lol I'm so addicted to Sims that I obviously have no shame lol please ignore the ^^^ above

Hi! Cute start! You asked about moving lots, and I don't know if someone answered you somewhere else, but I can't help piping up. Assuming the lot you're on currently is smaller than the one you're moving to, just upload the lot to the gallery, move your family to the new empty lot, download your house from the gallery (cheating for money if you need to get them the house - I consider that within the spirit of the rules). Then, voila, your house will be on the new lot. Some things don't transfer, like upgrades, so you might lose those, but a lot of things do. Good luck and I'll check back for further updates. :)

Hi  and welcome to my craziness lol

Yeah, someone did actually help me out there, but thanks for confirming it

I have some bad news, our modem is fried! So no internet for me  my folks are taking it to the ISP as we speak so hold thumbs that it's something easily fixable and I'll be able to be up and running again next weekend at the latest! On the plus side, this will give me a chance to complete the growfruit challenge with Joaquin, so future Parisshian's can have the advantage of the planter pots! Personally, I prefer the green one, but my competitive nature won't allow me to NOT give the perfect fruit as well lol

Update on the modem issue:

We got it back today, but when we plugged it in, something went pop inside it (you know that weird electrical pop you get when something's blown?) And it is now truly out of commission.

I've played more of my file (Gen 2 eldest is a teen) and I think I'm going to have an heir vote when she reaches YA. I'm using a random legacy generator (RLG) app, so I need to know who the heir is from the YA stage at least so I know what job to put them into and that sort of thing.

Just out of curiosity: how many kids do you think I rolled in the RLG for Gen 2? Hint: they're all born already and aged up to child and Karda is still an Adult.

Lol Chels, not really up to me, since I used the RLG. When I rolled the number, I almost cheated and re-rolled!

Lol I got it off Google Play Store. Basically it randomly rolls specifics for each Gen of a Legacy, namely, marital status; number of children; primary and secondary careers (I'm choosing to take that as the career for the heir and the spouse respectively); main goal of the Gen; and secondary goal of the Gen. It's pretty cool! And yeah, I rolled FIVE kids! All of whom have been born so far and aged to child! I'm not using spoilers for the number of kids, since it doesn't really tell you much lol

Ok, so I'm running a little contest on Carl's, whereby the first person to guess the name of the little girl in the first chapter, gets to name the 2nd born of the 2nd Gen WHATEVER their heart desires (as long as it is PG-friendly)... But, since Boolprop IS pretty much the whole reason that I even got the balls to do this after so long (have to reach that 5th Gen for House Plumbob! Whoot!), I've decided that, for the person who correctly guesses it here first, they will have right of veto over 1 child from Gen 1 in the heir poll (the power to totally toss that Simmy out of the running!)... So think wisely, you only have about 3 days in which to guess  oh, and my naming theme for 1st borns is the ship name of their parents

Edit: sorry, 2 days, since it's 8pm Monday here and I'm hoping to update Wednesday night around 6pm-ish

Re-edit: to understand my reasoning, I usually think of the generations as follows - Founder; 1st Gen; 2nd Gen; etc...

Oh, and the spelling counts... I only thought of that now, because, what's to say that 2 of our members have the same name in mind but spelt slightly different?!? Do you think an A should have gone where someone put a consonant... Do you think you should drop a letter... All this will act in your favour!
