CC needed for Sims 2
CC needed for Sims 2
Hey guys!!!
I was just wondering if there are some good CC to get for the sims 2 especially mods? Any mods, Hairs and other stuff will be hugely appreciated. Plus it will allow others to get the CC as well.

No prob!
And if you're looking for furniture, BlackPearlSims and Veranka both have great downloads
(the sites should pop up if you google them)

What about hacks/mods? Where do they go?

Re: CC needed for Sims 2
Most hacks and mods go into the usual downloads folder. If not, there's some kind of instruction included in the .zip/.rar etc
For mods, I use http://www.cyjon.net/
Nice stuff, many fixes for really annoying ingame mess-ups.

Re: CC needed for Sims 2
I really like Mod The Sims. There's a lot of variety in there for TS2 and it's so easy to download a bunch of things because it's all in one place. The only downside is that sometimes quality is pretty mixed and searching isn't always helpful, so it's something I'd recommend only if you've got a lot of time on your hands to browse around.
I'll be keeping an eye on this thread, I really want more stuff for my game.

I really do like Modthesims, some of the mods really helped me back in the day when I was playing sims 2.
Right now I have been looking at tumblr as well and their has been some nice cc such as hair and clothes under the sims 2 downloads tag. I will need to find the blog that posts it. I just wish that there was a cc blog that posted when new cc have been created like the sims3blog.

In addition to Veranka, the sims 3 to 2 database has a fantastic collection of conversions. There is also one for medieval conversions, and life stories.

I hope this doesn't count as thread hijacking, if so, let me know and I'll create a new thread instead.
I'm looking for houses that are suited to big families. Most downloadable houses have only one bedroom, or they'll have a big bedroom and then one or two tiny ones. Preferably, something without lots of CC. It doesn't have to be very complex or anything, I'm just sort of feeling lazy and uncreative today.

Have you checked mod the sims? They have a ton of houses, and you can filter results based on things like number of rooms, price range, and CC/expansion use (although I'm betting that won't be a problem, with the UC )

Re: CC needed for Sims 2
D'oh! I hadn't noticed there was a feature to filter the results based on those things so I'd just been browsing aimlessly around the thousands of houses on there and getting frustrated that I was only downloading smaller houses and couldn't find the larger ones. Thank you for the tip!Chase wrote:Have you checked mod the sims? Re: CC needed for Sims 2
I guess it is my turn to thread jack.
I am looking for a no dance reaction mod. Specifically for the "You're Crazy" finger twirl while smustling. I have checked everywhere and the only suggestions I get is to change the sims' dance level. That's all well and good, but for a whole hood? No. I had a hack prior to computer malfunction, I just cannot seem to find it again.
