The White House, a Trailer Park Challenge - updated 3/12/16

Post by raebeth47 »

When my BaCC is going great and all my sims are making money hand over fist, I head down to the trailer park for a different kind of fun. Rules can be found here.

Founder: Barbara White, "Babs"
Chapter 1: Momma always said work was for suckers.
Chapter 2: "No way are you getting my baby!"
Chapter 3: "'Geometry'? Honey, I don't think that's a real word."
Chapter 4: "Ham Boy! Come down out of the ceiling now!

Was wondering what happened to this.
Spoiler:
I was looking for it after the move again and didn't see it, guess that last chapter says why. I kinda miss mine but don't want to restart it again. Anywho, nice to see Babs back in da house.

Spoiler:
InTeen always worries me because I feel like I'm going to do something that will completely destroy my game with it, haha.

I love this challenge so much, it's just so trashy and terrible and you're certainly showing just how trashy it can get! I love it, can't wait to see more!

Ani-Mei,
Spoiler:
I was waiting to move it over until I had an update, just took me a little while. But I rather adore Babs.
platformperil,
Spoiler:
I've been worried about that, too. But this lovely trashy challenge is one of the reasons I went ahead and installed it - it just wouldn't be a proper trailer park if there were no teen pregnancy!

Spoiler:
I like the first-person approach :) Assume you're going to switch to the heir at some point? Your version is a lot of fun to read, thanks for commenting on mine too!

Radiochocolate,
Spoiler:
First person is new to me in a sims story, but Babs insisted upon telling her own story. Most likely I'll switch to the heir once he or she is an adult, but I have considered having Babs continue to narrate as a ghost.

Oh, this was fun! I've never seen a trailer park challenge, before, but this made me want to play my own.

I like the first-person POV.

I knew I had to read this challenge when I saw the title of the third chapter. Babs is easy to like. She's a nut.

Michelle, the first person is a new challenge for me. Enjoying it so far.

Debbie, glad you're enjoying the story! Babs is definitely nutty, but her heart's in the right place. More or less.

Awwww, you have the sweetest kids! Babe may not have the traditional family, but she's doing a great job with those kids. They are helpful and kind, and I just adore them.
Spoiler:
Perma-plat! Yaaay!

That greenhouse is great! Not only is it fancy-like, but also, there won't be bugs and the garden can grow in the winter, as well. Sparkly cereal year-round.

I didn't even know sims COULD miscarry! Whoa. Sorry about that. SNIFF!

Anne, glad you're enjoying! This is a side challenge, so updates are somewhat rare.

Michelle,
Spoiler:
Babs is doing a good job, in her own way. She's a slob, so the kids ended up neatniks totally by chance, but it's still funny how often they clean autonomously.
I was so excited when Babs hit permaplat! Makes things much easier.
I really debated about spending pretty much all the yard sale money on the greenhouse, but I finally decided it was a good idea. They'll have a steady supply of food even in winter - important since the teenagers seem determined to serve meals every 5 minutes.
I have In-Teen, and the miscarriage possibility comes with that. I have to be really careful now, because the chance of miscarriage goes up for sims who have had them previously. :(
