Ugly in Pink (An Experiment), 1.2: Blatant Self-Insertation
Have you ever noticed that there's no uglacies staged in The Sims 4? I have! You know why? Because it's just too pretty.
Utilizing new technology in stretching the rules, I bring you Ugly In Pink, a legacy dedicated to defy the predestined aesthetic pleasure of this game. And the color pink. Because I like that color.
This is more or less an experiment (hence the title), as someone who's played little of The Sims 4, because I have no idea if genetics will mold into my horrifying favor. It will also be a lot more fast and loose than my GilsCarbo legacy, and I'll probably swear the exact same amount (so a lot!).
Without further ado...

Re: Ugly in Pink (An Experiment), 1.0: Doomed for Failure
This is a great idea, and I have been wanting to see someone do this because uglacies are very entertaining. However, as you know, Sims 4 in-game sims might be odd-looking or different on occasion, but they don't breed the monsters that previous games (especially 2, hallelujah!) gave us. I hope you have luck with rectifying this sad state of affairs. I found this chapter amusing, so I'm looking forward to what you do next!

You make a very good point, I have never seen a TS4 uglacy. Your sims are so amazingly amazing!

Cool! I've never played an uglacy. Is the founder supposed to look normal/pretty?

Oh man, waking up to four replies was cool. Thank you all for responding!
YEAH OH I maybe should have explained this. Using the candi0207 model, an uglacy is starting out with a plain or pretty sim (Babs happens to be the result of pressing randomize a few times until I got a face I thought looked nice) and slowly tries to ween anything close to pretty out of future generations. By Gen 10 I'm hoping the face resembles something like a blooming onion.Cororon wrote:Cool! I've never played an uglacy. Is the founder supposed to look normal/pretty?

Oh, I see. Babs looks like she could be a selfsim of one of us simmers.pucksummerdream wrote:YEAH OH I maybe should have explained this. I might try an uglacy someday. Onion sims with big ears would look cool.

Well, I tried my best, though I don't think she's overly ugly!

Re: Ugly in Pink (An Experiment), 1.1: Neglect
This is fun! For me, Sims 4 is a lot more fun to read about than to actually play. It really is pretty to look at, though, that's the truth.
Good luck getting the ugly goal, and keep having fun!

Re: Ugly in Pink (An Experiment), 1.1: Neglect
This is a brilliant idea, and I love it already! Totally agree with a bunch of your gripes about TS4, though, especially the lack of SP - there is a mod at MTS that can help fix that, if you're okay with mods in your games. Not as great as nraas, but at least sims will get married and have children without overseer intervention.

Re: Ugly in Pink (An Experiment), 1.2: Blatant Self-Insertat
thank you all so much for the nice comments!! i switched to a more ts2-esque style of playing, so story progression is off for now...but i'll make sure to try that sp mod sometimes, somebodysangel!
another update, third one in a row...because...i'm obsessive help me.
