Welcome to my (not so ) new Apocalypse Challenge following the Pets, Seasons and Bon Voyage rules.

The finale is nothing to write home about, but it's finished.

Michelle, AGS does stand for Anygame Starter. It allows you to play with any combination of EPs that you have installed. For instance, since I started this AC well before the Borg rules and even FreeTime/Apartment Life were released, I didn't want to play with those EPs in my challenge, so AGS allowed me to play without those EPs in that hood, even though they were installed on my computer. AGS is also used by house builders (on MTS for example) who want to upload for the base game only, which allows more simmers to be able to download them.

When I saw the title of this topic ("Epilogue 6/29/15 FINISHED") I actually said out loud "wait WHAT". You did it! So cool to see this challenge finished! I always wondered if you ever would post that last chapter. Congrats, Lorin!

Alright! I totally understand about lacking motivation for that last lift. You did all the story stuff, after all, and by that point, the final lift is practically a given. Now, had Slacker been the final lift, you might still have issues, because of chance cards. But Journalism? Pffft. No big deal.

It's good to see it completed, and you get your medal, though. Congrats!

Hi Lorin,

Since I decided to join, I thought I could as well leave my comments here. I read your apocalypse this week, it took me like maybe four evenings. I was supposed to be writing my BaCC update (well in the end I did that too), but after captioning a couple pictures I always had to go and read another chapter.

What can I say, I really enjoyed it! I had a lot of fun with all the drama in the family, it kept me on the edge of my seat. You really kept the tension going all the time!

I also liked the characters a lot. Corey was one of my favorites, I always tend to like him when he shows up in stories. And he seems to get around a lot, so I suppose I'm not the only one either! (Of course, Corey happens to resemble, at least in looks, a certain Rodney Jalowitz, and I happen to be a fan.)

I'll say I'm also a sucker for happy endings, so I was glad Jake and Melissa got theirs after all that agony. And then there's Ratna... Well suffice it to say that I really loved to hate him! He brings Docnerd's Jerky Jake to mind, there's something similar in their cold, calculated and woohoo-driven ways. It was so gratifying to see him gotten rid of for once and for all! And of course, it feels good that Rachel got her happy ending, too.

Of course, I also kept an eye out for strategy tips, and it got me into thinking about my own strategy again... I never got the scored outings, I just couldn't get the score up, so I haven't seen them have any effect. It was a surprise to me that they're actually useful enough to make an apocalypse strategy!

I did feel a bit sad, as especially the early chapters were a reminder of how many great stories I must have missed back then... But well, at least I didn't completely miss this one!

Wow, it's nice to see a lot of the original apocalypse writers still going strong! You make it look easy, which having done one, I know it's not. I'm up to Chapter 3 now, great sim playing as always. Wish I was that good at rules, lol.
