I started this awhile ago and have just been playing in game (haven’t posted any chapters yet). I’m 3 kids into the challenge and I just realized only 1 parent can go to work. Both parents work but the father leaves for work where as the mom has always worked from home. Is that okay?

She’s an Environmental Manager and they live in Sulani, so she has never left to attend a day of work and always stays around the house to complete her daily tasks like take photos or work on her computer.

That is fine as she works from home, earning money. If you were playing on sims 2, the stay-at-home parent can earn money by selling, paintings, stories, or selling fish, or making toys etc. Hope that clears that up.

I have a question about this challenge. I am using the Random Genetics mod so that children become a blend of their parents instead of 100% one or the other. I believe it doesn't alter the way haircolors and eyecolors are calculated but I can't be 100% sure, as the creator has taken the mod offline by now. Would using this mod conflict with the "no mods"-rule or should it be fine?

Do I lose the challenge or just minus 20 pts for the death of a parent?? The mother is pregnant with baby #14 and the father is now a playable ghost.

I have changed a rule as i think as, i have heard that in ts4 teenagers now have 21 days which is too long

The new rule is Teenagers need sixteen skills. a+ in school and halfway maxed hobby enthusiasm/not sure what is for ts3/ts4 and then either age up or got to University

If you still want to do the 21 days in ts4 or the ages in ts3 and ts2 that up to you.

21 days is quite a while, but I'm not really sure what the equivalent of 1/2 way maxed hobby enthusiasm would actually be. TS4 has no hobby-type setting, even with the new pack. All they really have are skills, and they have all the skills an adult has, so other than the A+ I think the closest equivalent might end up being a job or club maybe? However, even that isn't overly equal for all of them.
