Sim motives not draining

Post by simsterlyrock »

So for some reason, my sim's motives aren't draining. I was using the boolprop makeallhappy cheat, but I've been using that for years now whenever it gets tough, and nothing bad has happened before. I really want to be able to keep playing the family, but it's just way too easy to have them skill all the time if their motives won't drain. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I tried to Google it, but nothing helped.

It just started last night. I had played the family, saved and quit because I had to go somewhere, and then when I got home and loaded up the game again, the motives were't draining at all. I played for a simday and then saved and quit, and I'm hoping I can figure it out before I play them again.

Could you have accidentally stopped their motives draining? When you use Boolprop, there's this option on the mailbox where you can stop the drainage.

Maybe...is there a way to turn it back on?

Usually by clicking on the same option again, but I'll have to take a look at it ingame before I can give you a "heads up" on that.

Okay. :) And after work I can try that and see if it works. I guess I didn't realize that was an option; if I did it, it was on accident.

There's a motivedecay on/off cheat too - you can try turning it back on and seeing if that helps. The mailbox option is Make All Motives Static and is right next to the Make All Happy option, so you might have hit it on accident.

Okay, cool. I finally have a chance to load up my game so I'm going to try some of the tips I got and see if I can get it working again.
