I like it! That center lot would be a great town hall/park gathering place. The volcano is cool too. And beach lots are awesome!

Just tested it. Seems like the current road mapping does not allow beach lots. At all. They're all too far away from the beach x) And I think you'll definitely need a camera mod to make this work. I'll test this theory after I remade that map

Update: the new one allwos beach lots, but needs to be straightened a little bit
And with the vanilla camera, you can see everything important. But only with a little navigation and Not at once, so I'd recommend a modded camera if this terrain gets taken

Alright, I'll get started on learning how to convert lots into sims2packs. I'd love to create the pet shop and cozy date restaurant lots.

You don't need to convert anything, just save the lot to your computer in-game. :) It'll stick it in your packaged lots folder.

So where is the download for this terrain? I don't see it, unless I'm blind (which is known to happen). I don't have the UC so no Ikea, Happy Holiday, or M&G (Evil, evil M&G)

I'm still tweaking and decorating.
Some beach lots still don't work as intended. I can have it up by wednesday evening, I guess (tomorrow is a big exam)

Your lots look pretty, but would you have a problem if I reworked these into a Mansion/Garden-less version?

In addition to No CC/limited CC another thing to consider is which SP and EP would be included?

I am now playing with Ultimate Collection, and I'm not sure, with a few obvious exceptions, which stuff would be from what. Also, even if you don't use the stuff from the stuff packs and expansion packs, doesn't it affect the save files? So, I won't load anything from my current game.

However, I'm willing to load up my Mac Super Collection (up to Bon Voyage, and no CC, because it was all erased and I'd have to completely re-install, anyway), just to build a few lots for this, only up to BV. If that's agreeable.

I rather enjoy building dorms and hotels, and would be happy to design a variety of them, from flop-house style to fancy-schmancy. And if someone wants to swap out the doors and the lot-zoning to make one or more into apartment lots, I could design with that possibility in mind, to make it easy enough. And guaranteed CC-free.

I also like building small and boring starter homes (no landscaping or decoration, just living there). Those 1x3 lots can be fun for poor sims. And you KNOW I enjoy building apocalypse safe houses! Just let me know what you want, and how many, and what size lots, and the like.


Is there any sort of building style we should go for? Brick? Wattle and daub? Plank siding or bland paints?

As for beach lots, instead of altering the main neighborhood terrain to allow it, why not include a beach downtown and/or shopping district? I really do like having the different districts, rather than trying to fit it all in one terrain.

All sims2pack files packaged from a game with M&G, regardless of whether or not they use content from that pack, require M&G to install. That's going to cause problems for anybody with the full collection who wants to contribute to the neighborhood. :|

Might be able to get around it with clean installer, but I'm not sure.

Do what you need. It's not like the original lots I linked will change. And if people would rather use those they know where to find it.

The Clean Installer might fix it but as much as I do like the idea, I would rather not risk my Apocalypse with ONE chapter left to do and then to lose my AU legacy hoods AGAIN because M&G is a murderous harpy on my game.

M&G can be a real pain in the ass. I don't know why it's required to install things that don't use any content from it, when none of the other EPs have an issue with that. It makes no sense. :indifferent:
