Prescott Midnight Sun Challenge - Gen 2, 10th Feb!

Post by Sam »

Image

I kind of got addicted to playing the Midnight Sun Challenge back in 2015, but thought I'd lost it when my laptop had a surprise meeting with a glass of water. However, I found a back-up and decided to continue, as I love the family so much. And the graphics are so much better than they ever were in 2015 - so the pictures improve around halfway through generation two.

I'm sharing this via the queue on tumblr. Generations marked with a :!: are in progress.

Feel free to let me know what you think! :)

Oooh, this is fun! I like it very much and hope you post more chapters, soon.

As for breaking the rules, it's not really a competition, and as long as you are consistent with your OWN rules, I think it's just fine.
Spoiler:
That paparazzi was really creepy. I hope you can use a mod, or something, to fix it. As for the zombies, just put a fence around your garden, and lock the gate (or attach it to the shelter, and have the door into the garden from the shelter, and the zombies won't be able to access it.

Can sims grow kelp, or do the mermaids just have to go out and harvest it every day from the sea floor?
This makes me want to play the challenge, too. However, I am doing an incremental thing, where I only load one pack at a time, and I'm still just on base game. Someday, though. Sims 3 is a nice change from Sims 2.

Also, can you post a link to the island you're using? I'd love to download it.
Badass Alphabetocalypse (Complete!)
All of my other projects should be moved to the graveyard. But I have a new computer, at last! WOOOOT!

I am planning to, it's just been one of those weeks, you know? :)

That makes sense - I can be consistent with my rules
Spoiler:
Well, apparently there's a way of using the nraas (or whatever it's called) to sort out the paparazzi, but I haven't actually worked that out yet. I'm a complete noob when it comes to TS3! I did end up using the fence technique later on :)

Kelp has to come from the ocean floor, but luckily they harvest enough to keep going for a bit, so they don't have to harvest it everyday.
It's a lot of fun, and with a full lot like I have at the minute (I'm currently bringing in gen 3) it's total chaos too! It's been years since I played with *just* the base game!

I'm using this island. :)

I'm loving this! It makes me want to dig out my TS3 discs and reinstall the game, even if it lags to hell and back on my laptop, which I'm assuming it will.

Thank you! I'm hoping to have more soon :) I do enjoy TS3, but I can't play it on my laptop - only my boyfriend's big PC!
