Oh, this is really gonna be cool! A kingdom challenge and an apocalypse together! Two of my favorites.

I really like how each family has its own journal/log style.

Don't worry, the next chapters are on their way, including some plotty goodness. First I just need to get some actual sleep.This project is way too exciting, so I've been staying up till (LITERALLY) dawn for several nights.

Although those houses must be built as close to the edge of the lot as possible like literally right behind the sidewalk. With stilts you can get that close. I also made sure the houses covered the cars and driveway since the rules I have said everything had to be covered by a roof (even cars). Those grills will ALWAYS catch fire indoors, it's coded like that. So if this is an Apocalypse which family has to lift the restrictions? Love the hazmat suits too, too bad I never went that far when I began my Apocalypse. Anyway, nice chappies. PS: really ambitious to combine both.

The rules I have state otherwise, and I copy-pasted from the Apoca-Borg o.O I kind of figured that was the deal with the grills xD I didn't mention it, but all families created at the beginning and anyone rooted from them can lift restrictions, but not townie spouses. Though from the looks of it no one is anywhere near lifting anything *rubs temples* I think I might have taken water over my head with this, but it makes for a good story so even if I break a rule I'll still continue posting

I would like to ask: did you use the Pleasantville townies as playables? Because Henrich looks like Benjamin Long, and Kris like Goopy GIlscarbo... or am I imagining things?

Did you use a specific rule set for apocalypse and BaRKC played together that's published somewhere? Would like to see it! :bounce: So royals and nobles are excepted from the architecture restriction? *starts scribbling down notes*

Mia you are awesome, and maybe a little insane. And don't forget very brave. This has to been the best combine challenge ever. I read the first chapter. And OMB poor Henrich so many failures and of course the game throws you quads. Why make things easier. I guess the constant fires are good newes in a small way, letting you unlock the first career. Good luck Mia, I'll be catching up in short order.

Nice to see that my insanity is being appreciated!
Finally someone noticed! :party: I was going to wipe them out using empty templates, but this seemed safer. They still have their aspirations and personalities, I just modified the relationships and memories using SimPE to make them as close to CAS-couples as possible.
I combined the rules myself, the link is in the main post. Oh dear, now I won't go unnoticed if I break them :haha:
The penguin was supposed to be a rare event by EA, but he actually strolls on my lots at least once a week. Almost makes the perma-frost endurable.

Holy smokes! Those poor peasants! Well, there's still time to repopulate for the next generation, but frankly, I doubt they'll lift any restrictions, this generation. I had that happen, once, where the founder just couldn't manage to lift anything, but at least she had some babies, and she lived just long enough for the oldest to become a teen and take over. But I can't tell you what happened after that, because the computer died, and I lost it all.

I'M A ZOMBIEEEEE!
This is really good to read, especially with the alternating styles for each family. There's no shortage for drama, that's for sure. You do not make it easy for them.

I think there will be at least one more update this summer, but just so y'all know, this challenge is played at snail-pace. Mostly to keep me from throwing sharp objects at the screen or cheating.

Finally reading this! At one point I will be able to keep all the names straight.... Can see why you are taking this a tad slower, and why you are doing more then one challenge.
