Lorin - Thank you! :D The Robinsons are such a lovely bunch, I love Owen and Meadow together! Really looking forward to seeing how their family develops.
No problem! I really love seeing other people's neighbourhood shots as well - I always get excited when people include them

There's another update!

Spoiler:
Congrats on getting the Walker's restaurant to level 10! I've only been able to hack doing that once, but it is nice to have a choice of restaurants for Sims out on dates  That was neat seeing Marisa, Marylena and Andrea on a townies girls' day out, and seeing some McHeroes migrating over to Blueberry! Lovely restaurant makeover, I never know what to do with those rose trellis things, but putting them inside the arches is a great idea, very pretty!

It's a bit confounding when one-bolters act so hot for each other, I kind of feel like I'm making them "settle", but some of my favorite couples are one-bolters and most have two bolts when they change their turn-ons/offs, so they seem to know what they want better than I do sometimes!

Oliver looked a little lost at Hannah's birthday party when Orlando got aged up with her.

It's too bad that Andrew is kind of boring. Is he the first bigfoot you've moved back from Three Lakes? I haven't done that before, and I'm trying to find an interesting angle for doing so if I ever get around to it, but it might involve a Sim or two from my own undocumented Borg Apocalypse :shhh: .

Spoiler:
Thanks! I think this was also the first restaurant I got to level 10 - although it was surprisingly easy with Walker's!
Same! Attraction doesn't always make sense, I guess
Haha, he did, didn't he? I was so surprised when he started to flirt with her, because they'd never shown any interest like that in each other, and then all of a sudden...
I really like them as friends, though.
I don't think he's the first one I moved home, but he is the first one I played extensively. He had the LTW to have 5 top level businesses, so I tried that with him,
but for some reason all his businesses were really difficult to get off the ground so I decided to make him permaplat with the genie lamp. Ever since then he's been really boring :') Looking forward to seeing what you do with Bigfoot! :D
New update! Burke

Catching up! :heavybreathing:

Burke:
Spoiler:
Ooh, teen angst and family drama! :cover: I do get why Maddie would be so squicked about Zoe crushing on her little sister. That's one issue about the teen stage being so long, in our minds if not the game.

Angie and Amin are a cute elder couple. Lol, I don't know what EAxis was thinking :spin: when they dreamed up the tight sleeveless droopy-boob tops for elder females. At least, I've never seen an elderly woman wear one in RL! Congrats on the top-level pet store, which is one I've never done before. Congrats also on Amin's 20 BFs! I find that making friends is a real advantage to owning a business.

Aww, sorry to see Mittens go, that's such a cute name for a cat. Glad he got some screen time though, that would make it a little easier for me. I'm finding Sim death easier to contemplate in a BaCC vs. a single household played for generations, I guess because I see it more as a progression of life in the bigger context of the town/city itself.

Blueberry Island looks so pretty in the Fall, especially showcased at the gazebo park. I love the different lighting that comes with the seasons, just one of many reasons why EAxis got TS2 so right! :hearts:

Looking forward to seeing Maddie in her new apartment :)
Harris:
Spoiler:
I suppose you could give Ella the nickname Elle, though it might not do much to quell  the problem.

Oh man, love that Zoe's moving into the same complex as Maddie! Can totally see that happening since they aren't speaking. Yay! *rubs hands together*

Thanks for the reply, Lorin! :D
Spoiler:
Yeah, same. For the game they're all the same age, but it just doesn't really work that way in our brains :') It's been an interesting aspect/issue to ponder!
Right?! That top is hideous
Thanks! The pet store was a blast to run. And it definitely helps with meeting Sims for the LTW! He also brought a lot of Sims home from work :)
Yeah, I definitely get that, although I do think I'm going to be really sad when Julia Robinson passes away as well.
I love Fall in TS2! The lighting in all the seasons is wonderful <3

Ehehe, that would be an option, yes! Just everytime I type those two names in close proximity I facepalm myself :')
Here's a new update! Chin

Nice family update! Loved watching the twins play outside in their new tower, and their room looks so cheery, I really like the color scheme and the lovely view outside their window. Can't wait to see what Kate looks like when she gets older :)

Year one comments:
Spoiler:
That is definitely the Ben Long nose on Owen. The other boys have been pretty handsome so far, so let's hope that Julia blends well with that nose.

I'm taking notes on running the restaurants, because I've never done it before and I'm playing a BACC (nepheris style) right now.

Also, I freaking love bigfoots, and i'm boggled that you got a run on boys, because my game usually starts with a streak of girls. Actually, I think I've only ever had one neighborhood where my firstborn was a boy...

Year 2 comments through fall:
Spoiler:
Lol @ the getting up at 6, when school used to start at 7:30 that's when I'd have to get up. (Actually I still get up at 6:30 because my commute is 35 minutes and aaaaah.)

Caroline is cute! And Adam is... well, he'll probably even out as an adult, but he's not bad, even with the chin. He's not going to get to go to uni, though, is he? :(

Eric looks like his dad. All the Robinson boys got a large proportion of Ben Long genes, it seems.

Iirc, it appears that the dazzle's effectiveness can be worn out, which might be why people don't use them as much, or save them up or something. It's supposedly random whether the dazzle makes or breaks a sale, but like many of the game's other randomizers, it apparently isn't so random.

Elijah is going to be the teen heartbreaker here, I can just tell. Also the little girls are all cute. :)

I've never had a sim get rejected for the go steady when they have a relationship that high before. Poor Owen.

Year 2, winter:
Spoiler:
Meadow is a great sim. I used her as a side character in my old legacy, she was my first generation heir's wife's best friend.

Eric looks a lot like his dad.

All the Walker girls are so pretty, and IIrc you're like 1/10 of the way to a university!

Spring 3!
Spoiler:
Grown up Meadow is lovely, and I think teen woohoo is an ACR feature if you let it turn on/keep the adjuster physically present on the lot? I've always had it off though.

Lol, I didn't know bigfoots go gray all over!

Thalia Harris has some striking eyes.

I like your bookstore. I'm trying to run one right now and I hadn't thought of selling deco books yet, though I'm still trying to figure out the whole sellable novels thing.

It will be very interesting to see what color hair Phil Dawson's kids have as a recessive.

Lol @ Eric Robinson and the baby nursery unlocking nat sci! (I admit it's a confusing one, I guess when it's plants they figure the plants are like babies?)

Quick question about Eric's round: how do you change the name of an owned business without selling it? *Has somehow never done this/known you could*

Oooh, I like that stadium!

Lol, @ Caryl being Jacob's aunt. My own mom has brothers 10 and 12 years older than her, and a sister 2 years younger than her, and my mom and her sister were aunts at 13 and 11, but they were aunts to a baby...

Wow. I don't know how I let it go so long between reading chapters, but I'm all caught up now. This is really good! I love the "just living the life" chapters, as well as the ones with more plot and drama to them. It's like real life, you know? Not everyone has drama all the time, and plenty of people just go through life, doing their thing, and not annoying anybody else.

I really do enjoy reading this.

Summer 3:
Spoiler:
IIRC, most of attraction is based on aspiration and zodiac, and very little on turn ons and turn offs. Also, Gretchen's turn-ons still match Owen, even if his don't match hers, and I've never had sims go up or down a bolt unless they either both changed their turn ons to match or they both changed their turn-ons not to match. Considering you're already probably playing winter, this is probably late news though. :)

Supposedly the "grow up with me" option is buggy and the sim blender is safer. In either case, I've used the sim blender a LOT and the growing up or aging down options only cause problems if you already weren't supposed to be aging the sim because they didn't have full sim data. Most NPC teens should be fine.

Dunno if I've mentioned it, but I like the Burkes' pet store. Usually I just custom-make pets for my sims.
