River Heights is a Build A City Challenge based on the rules easily found on the boolprop forum with no particular gimmick beyond the fact I wanted to have something challenging but not as challenging to work on besides my apocalypse challenge. It'll probably be much like my asylum challenge but with less references to batman cartoons. Also it's going to be on dreamwidth instead of tumblr.
Warning: I'm prone to swearing, especially for ostensibly-humorous effect. Also there will be sexual themes but nothing more explicit than would be in the game itself.
I love BACCs. They tend to upstage my other challenges.
Spoiler:
Poor Parker, elders always get the rough end of things. I like Bryce's eyes, and April has purple eyes! Purple eyes are the best. I can't wait to see their kid.
"Kinks and Squicks" is a good term I think. Rolls off the tongue. Glad you're enjoying the story!

Spoiler:
I actually marry in a lot of elders into my main neighborhood, but my main neighborhood also has a pretty huge population and no specific goal, so elders don't really have any actual "disadvantages" there. Possibly Parker will find True Love someday. But it might take a while.
I'm pretty fond of Bryce's eyes myself, especially since they're from a set I don't get to use very often! They're not townified so I figure I might as well use my CAS sims to throw some genes into the town pool that I don't see as much. I'm vaguely planning on Bryce and April eventually having three kids, so hopefully we'll have both eye colors running around.
In which we move in a new family, have difficulty finding True Love, and I try manfully to resist spending the entire update just taking cute pictures of the sparkledog.
Two Romance sims in a new BaCC: "What in tarnation are we doing here?!" I like April's makeover, and after Alex's, he looks like a chip off of both blocks.
I like the continuity of the Jennings' lots against each other so you get the impression it's a home business, but with community business scoring
Unity and Warnefleet were a cute pairing. Glad she finally found someone to settle down with, that's the way is seems to go with Sims, the ones you think should have an easier time finding someone are oftentimes the most difficult (I'm talking about YOU, Romance and Popularity!).
Bryce is probably not the Best Suited BACC Founder Ever but I'm quite fond of him and the rest of his family. And they're all pretty cute in various ways.
And yeah, I couldn't resist trying to make the lots look sort of connected once I realized how neatly I could slot two of them back to back like that. Sweet Stitches and Jennings' will probably be the only ones with this particular quirk though, due to how the neighborhood is laid out. (I'm actually playing on the Veronaville terrain, though it's pretty hard to recognize with basically everything gone.)
Finding love just doesn't seem to be easy for the Lowes! I still haven't found a suitable girl dog for Warnefleet, but at least Unity's partnered up.

Spoiler:
The Lowes are River Heights's no. 1 fans of the color pink.
In which the Lowe family gets hairier, although maybe not in the way one would prefer.
A very late update. I've been distracted, partly by IRL stuff but partly by me being easily distracted. On the other hand I do have a bunch of notes and pictures from further ahead in the challenge so hopefully there won't be a wait of several months between this update and the next.
In which there is cursing, commerce, and things that take two.
Thanks for the nice words guys! RH the neighborhood is being kinda uncooperative lately but uh, lately gameplay wise means "Around week eight by now" so there's some mild catching-up being played here.
WOW that was a busy week for the Jennings family! I'm glad to see that everyone survived having twin toddlers in the house. That's always annoying, especially at the beginning of a challenge when the family has little to no money. Can't wait to see what happens to the family next week!
HONESTLY. That wasn't the most chaotic a household has been for me, but I still have no idea how people survive with their triplets and quads and quints and sexts and whatevers hacks.
