It's fun trying something new. I'm the same way sometimes. I get set in my way of doing things. But there's a whole bunch of different ways to go about a BACC. Which is one of the best parts of this challenge. And seeing how everyone else does it.

since some of my sims have LTW that i cant unlock currently Ive decided they will get other careers unlocked for future sims

i always make my children max out logic and teens max out charisma or make both paint and you cant really do much with them besides make teens help out with the businesses

The easest business for me is parks because you charge a mas amount and not do anything if you dont care able levels

So a sim from different playable family (the heirs ex) got stuck by lighting on his business whilst she was visiting does this count ?

It looks to me like the lightning strike qualifies as an electrocution toward opening the Science career.

So, after uninstalling and reinstalling my game, and playing absolutely vanilla, I am starting fresh with GageNation, a strict BACC. No super simself powers here.

I got two chapters up today, despite my Windows 10 forced updates breaking my presentation program. I finally just sucked it up and posted, despite the randomly invisible pictures. Almost all of them are fine, and I can find no way to fix it. Every time I try, it winds up wiping out another two pictures, so, instead of trying to kill a hydra, I wrote around as many missing ones as I can, and just ignore the rest.

Actually, I think the best way to kill a hydra is just to stab it in the heart. Or maybe poison.

Anyway, here's the link to GageNation.

I miss my old projects, but at least I'm back in the game. They are all saved elsewhere, in case I can ever get the glitches fixed, with all the mods, fixes, and CC I need to run those particular projects. Fingers crossed.

ETA: Part 3, and I feel like Paul Revere. "THE GLITCHES ARE COMING! THE GLITCHES ARE COMING!"

I want a new computer. Not just a new hard drive, but an actual, complete, new computer. :heavy sigh:

I just got Casilda Lane abducted (on accident) so I'm going to have my first alien in the neighborhood!

My total population is now 27, and only five of those sims are CAS additions. (I started with 11 sims, Nepheris style.

That's awesome! Sounds like you're off to a great start. :)

I just got my population up to 600, which is the highest I've ever gotten it in all my attempts at a BACC in the past. I actually unlocked service calls for once! XD I think I actually might be able to get to 50,000 this time without getting bored. I'm loving the Sims that have been born in game and I'm including some of the challenges that I want to complete so that I don't feel bad about playing my OWBC family instead of my BACC 'hood, since they're in the same 'hood!

Same. My DITFT and my modified rags to riches challenges are in the neighborhood. (I basically mashed up a Rags to Riches Challenge and a Sim Survival Challenge so the household could be more integrated into the neighborhood.) It's nice to have families with different goals.

I'm loving to watch everyone's BACCs so I decided to start one by myself!

So if anyone's interested to watch or follow how I'm doing on it, feel free to check this link: https://danger-island-bacc.tumblr.com/

I still need to do few things so I can get my city info there and some kind of about page of my sims!

I just decided to start a new BACC, Salvatore's Lair. It's a just for fun one, so I won't be posting it, but I will keep you guys updated with what's going on as things happen. Right now I need to create my founder, one Damon Salvatore - yeah, he's seriously one of my favorite fictional characters. So I'm using him as a founder, well, sort of - his name and sort of appearance. I'll let you guys know how it goes!

Oooooh, vampire founder? That would be interesting (and accurate to the character). Good luck with the new BACC. :) I can't wait to hear your updates about it!

This is really making me miss TS2. I was going to go back to my parents' house today and dig through my old stuff to see if I could find my old games anywhere, but that got cancelled. I'll just have to live vicariously through this thread!

I'm sorry that you lost your BACC, Jenn. Hopefully the new BACC will survive longer!

I wonder if we were to take a count on how many challenges fail because of computer issues, would it be 75% or more? I'm pretty sure it would not be less.

I've had so many challenges fail because I accidentally deleted the neighborhood folder or I deleted a ton of CC and decided to just scrap my 'hoods and start fresh. I'm hoping to actually finish my BACC this time. I'm the farthest I've ever gotten, which is really exciting.

That or being forced to move to a new computer.

I'm troubleshooting New Edenia, which has been crashing for some reason. Hood Checker hasn't given me anything too specific. I do know it's just that neighborhood though.

I love your BACC. I'm waiting to catch up before posting in your dedicated thread, but I'm really enjoying it at the moment!
