@theoddcatlady - omg it's was so hard at the beginnig. It got easier when I got the education bookcase. They can read everything except creativity, which I just unlocked today. Oh happy day! They can now paint and not write constantly anymore. I love the aliens. I prefer them over regular sims sometimes.
I also am doing just the base game because I think the expansion would just make it so much worse for me. Sims 3 is what I tried first and it was unreal and I had to give it up.

@Hollywood - Thanks!

Jenn, I think started with just the base game (and uni) restrictions is a good idea, to get your foot into the apocalyptic door. Good practice, and you learn how life under restrictions works, and then you can add restrictions with future apocalypses. Maybe your next one can go up to Bon Voyage, before you jump into full-on Apartment Life and FreeTime restrictions.
Spoiler:
You did good at Uni, by the way, preparing the way, and planning out your spouses. And having a vampire with all the friends is great, isn't it?

Question - why did you move out some sims, but keep some sims there to die? Is it because they were spouses? No wrong choice here, I'm just curious about the difference.

As for breaking restrictions, I really couldn't say. I'm not reading the base rules to find out. LOL! I'm sure you're doing fine, though.
So good to see you joining the fold! I look forward to reading more!
Badass Alphabetocalypse (Complete!)
All of my other projects should be moved to the graveyard. But I have a new computer, at last! WOOOOT!

Michelle:
Spoiler:
Crap, it never even occurred to me to just move them out. That is seriously a great idea.

I actually enjoy having the vampire aspect for keeping friends. I think I got that idea from reading Anne's apocalypse, which probably would not ever have occurred to me.

Now that I have figured out the basics, it will be fun to go to the next set of rules up before doing a major all expansion apocalypse.
Thanks for reading!

New update!

Simsterlyrock:
It's easier than I thought it would be, but still the hardest challenge I think I've done. I don't know if I will ever be ready to do the full expansion version, that's for sure.

Hehe.
Spoiler:
I went full on all EP restrictions for mine, took me six generations instead of ten so I got five done each generation. Because a full EP Apocalypse has 30 restrictions to lift. Anyway, Sims 2 is so different when it comes to game play and interactions I still look for the tilt button when I play Sims 2, there is no Tilt button. >_< I see you trying to catch me in medals. It seems I have a new rival to contend with. :fight:

Muahahaha...I'm coming for the medal title! :diablo:
Spoiler:
My bacc is proof that I can't handle long challenges in sims 2. I have a habit of corrupting neighborhoods or deleting cc on a whim, ruining everything. Until I can survive Sims 2 for any length of time, I need fairly short (generational) challenges.

I'm afraid to even consider a 30 restriction apoc right now. I really thought this would take a lot longer. I might do this again someday with a ban on snapdragons. I think that would be a huge challenge. Those things are the greatest thing ever.

Spoiler:
Well since you're only doing Base Game and Uni, that's 16 restrictions to lift the twelve base game careers and the four Uni ones. A Snapdragon restriction in a full 30 is locked on two fronts, Natural Science and Music. Can't place them without those two done. Education restricts the book case until it's unlocked and locks up Uni as well as preventing teens from going to high school. Education is a Seasons career. Yeah it gets a lot more complicated. Good to start small though.
I shall defend my medal title, I am nearly ready to claim my 76th one.

I wanted to post that I saw this, but I'm on my work laptop. I'll check for the PT mod when I switch back over since I have to share my mouse and keyboard between the two.

Spoiler:
I never liked ACR, I am too much of a control freak when it comes to Sims 2 to let that run rampant in my game. You're nearly done already, can't wait to see the finale.

theoddcatlady; Hahaha. Probably the only witty thing said through the whole thing. I spent so much time this morning being annoyed that Athletics wouldn't show up.
Ani-Mei: I totally crossed my mind to rip that out, but I like the interactions too much. I did turn ACR autonomy off, which did save my sanity in the end.
