On the Golden Trio - the friends requirement - how did you classify "outside of the family"? Did you take that to mean, outside of the active household, or not related at all, or can be related as long as they have never lived in the challenge household? Or am I making this too hard?

Specifically: I know the friends can't be anyone currently living in the household. Can it be someone that is a distant relative that has never lived in the household (their current friends have turned out to be cousins through their father's half-sister).

I took that to mean 'not related at all' which I don't think would be to hard to do in this challenge per say because it's not bogged down with relatives.
Now in my Sarnello legacy on Tumblr I have a hard time finding anyone my sims aren't related to because it's on gen 7.
I always end up having to make spouses and plop them in town.

Now on the flip-side, my cousin and I were best friends growing up, so maybe cousins should count :hmm: okay I guess I didn't make this any easier for you, lol, sorry.
Oh wait I got it, how about at least one of the friends cannot be related at all?

Okay, I like that. How about this...

One BFF, Two good friends. They all have to be outside of the active family, and at least one has to be not related according to the Relationship panel - or should we limit it to only one can be related and the other two cannot be related? I know Jenn has already completed this mini challenge, so I am curious as to how she took it also.

Mine were born very early in the challenge, so there were more options. I do believe they all shared the two good friends, but each had their own BFF. None were on the family tree, but I do know that all became a family member in some way by the next generation.

I would state a blood relative born to anyone who has lived in the active household. That would leave non-blood spouses available.

These are their father's sister's kids - blood relative (nephew) to the current father of the house. The game also recognizes them as family and not eligible for romantic actions so I think that is a good way to draw the line. I have already found them three teens more to make friends with. Really shouldn't have left the friends making to the end :lol: They are racing their birthday to get it done.

Well, tonight I almost deleted the whole save and said screw it all.

Rachel can only spend a couple of days in Granite Falls at a time (two times Robin went into labor, three times had to leave for baby to toddler, another baby to toddler (different seasons), and then a toddler to child birthdays). This meant that we could not trigger the plant growth on a consistent basis and if you are not there for every stage of growth, it stops while you are at home.

She would go home, Robin would do the birthday (unless she was at work) and then immediately head back. Then before they could produce what was needed, they went out of season and became dormant, which reverted them back to mounds. Winter came, so she had to leave. Spring came, she spent a few days there and had to leave for some reason. Went back on the last day of spring and was able to harvest the same 4 she had already identified the previous year. The morel mushroom and False morel never sprouted. Summer, no mushrooms stills. They were sprouted, but no shrooms to be had. Summer did find other things finally popping up and she made it to 8/10 unidentified plants. It's Fall now. In fact, I quit the game at Harvestfest. She has to wait two more seasons until spring again to try and force the mushrooms to sprout. This means that Robin cannot have her 3rd pregnancy and the whole thing is now on hold just for two plants.

I'm so annoyed and I want to find the Maxis moron who that this crap up and bitch slap them. To top it all off, Rachel has already got all the Outdoor plants in her collection log, but I just have no clue who found them.

So, for anyone attempting this Aspiration, do this when you have no job, no family, and a lot of cash to spend on a vacation that will need to last 21 consecutive days.

Yeah, this is the one that I never was able to complete and finally ended up cheating past the identify stage. She was finding them and they were already showing up in her collection log as identified so she couldn't identify them again. And then they would never grow again.

A very nice modder friend, Coolspear, made me a one off mod to help me get past this without just cheating it done. He made it so only the morel and false morel were in season all year around. Rachel still had to hang out and wait a few days for them to sprout, but the finally did.

I know I haven't been very reliable lately, but I am starting a new file right now and I plan on Seasons, Jungle Adventures, and Outdoor Retreat. Other people should definitely do whichever ones they want though because I am going to be slow at this.

So after playing for a few days, I don't think there is a whole lot of new stuff to do for Get Famous...but I could be drastically wrong. Anyways, here are my ideas for choosing it as a bonus challenge.

Someone from each generation needs to reach the top celeb status and max celeb perks
Same sim needs to max media production skill
Same sim needs to max acting skill

Also wondering if we should do: Each heir/ess needs to find a spouse who is more famous than they are at time of marriage. Thinking of this instead of acting skill, since not all sims have to be actors in order to be famous.

Please let me know what you think, or if anyone has other ideas for this EP.
