The Alphabet Legacy Rules (by TSFKAT)

These rules were missing boolprop.net as well as boolprop.prophpbb! They were written for OFB by original Boolprop member TSFKAT. Here are the original rules to the Alphabet Legacy/Alphabetacy challenge, simplified by me as they were a bit hard to keep track of before.

-------------------
-Each generation after the first must be named alphabetically.
-There must be at least 3 children per generation.
-The challenge ends with the birth of the third Z child (third child of the 27th generation).
-Every 8 generations starting from A (H, P, X), a set of twins must be born. These do NOT have to be a part of the main line.
-Cheesecake may be used for the compulsory twins. Cheesecake may NOT be used for non-compulsory twins.
-Every 5 generations starting from A (E, J, O, T), the family must downgrade. This means that all unnecessary objects must be deleted, and necessary objects (beds, fridges, etc.) must be downgraded to the cheapest kind. Skill objects may be kept, but objects used for skilling that can be downgraded (TV, bookcase, computer) must be downgraded. After all of this, the family must be familyfunded to 1000 simoleans. ((The rules state that it is 6 generations, but then list the generations as E, J, O, and T, which is 5 (excluding Y so as to give a chance for money points). Therefore I think the author meant 5 :P))
-Downgrading only applies on the legacy house; businesses need not be downgraded. This applies to home businesses, too.

Scoring:

+1/each generation reached (26 total at end)
+2/each generation with 5 children.
+3/each generation with 7 children.
+6/each generation with 10 children.
+10/each generation with 15 children.
+1/to the above 10 point bonus per child in a generation after 15 children.
*The above points with points for a certain number of children do NOT stack (with the obvious exception of the +1/each after 15 children). If there is a generation with 10 children, you get 6 points, not 11. This also means specifically the children of the heir, not all kids of a generation (born to heir and spares).
+1/every set of non-compulsory twins.
+3/three sets of twins in a row, of the same generation.

-1/each child taken by social worker.
-2/each generation with only 2 children.
-3/each generation with only 1 child.
*If there are less than 3 children because of spouse death, do NOT deduct the points previously mentioned. If there are less than 3 children because the female-acting Sim turned elder, you may adopt (but an adopted child cannot be the heir).
-5/optional use of cheesecake on pregnant Sims (points not deducted with compulsory twins).

Extra points:
+5 once for Xtreme start (starting on the largest lot size).
+5 once for having 10 platinum old age deaths in a row (platinum graves).
+20 once for family business from gen. 1 to 27 that finishes at rank 10. +17 if at rank 9 at finish. +15 if at rank 8 at finish. None for any lower.
*-1/from above for each bad review.
*+5/for above for each best of the best award.
+2 once for not using any robots the entire challenge.
+10 once for not using any service sims the entire challenge (excluding policemen, firemen).
+15 once for all graves being platinum.
-------------------

Again, these are the original rules, not altered in any way by me (just made easier to read). Happy Simming! :woot:

Added them :)

Also this made me realize, I don't know the author of these rules! Extensive googling has also turned up empty, I think might have just been on the exchange and the original boolprop (although the challenge is pretty widespread). The website I got the rules from was from 2007, which is after when people started doing the challenge (with these rules). If anyone knows the original author, please speak up! Otherwise the author is unknown :)

I think TSFKAT on the original boolprop made them up. I think. If memory serves me right.

Awesome, thanks Seera. I was able to find confirmation of that.
