Why are the events up this early? When do they end?

I don't think three weeks is too early at all. Gives everyone plenty of time to get the events done without having to rush if it's started later.

I am so excited about all of these events! I'm already in a Halloweeny mood so I am probably going to be carving that pumpkin when I get in from work later.

With SimNaWriMo running this month we wantrd to be sure there was planty of time for people to participate in all the events. Plus, we might have more on the way...

Also, Canadian Thanksgiving is this weekend, so I was in a festive ~mood~.

Aww yeah - I just made a post in the October newsletter thread about this!

Any plans for Thanksgiving, my fellow Canucks? I'm seeing some of my boyfriend's family on Sunday, and I plan on baking a cake for the occasion. Apparently I'll also get to meet and pet a very friendly cat, which I'm super excited about. On Monday my boyfriend and I are going to hang out at home with a beef roast and a nice bottle of wine.

EDIT: Oops forgot to ask - do we get House Points for winning the Halloween medal?

There's several birthdays in my family this month, so we're all getting together this Sunday to celebrate Thanksgiving on top of all the birthdays.

And yep, you get 30 points for earning the Halloween medal!

My parents are en route back from Hawaii as I type and won't be home till tomorrow morning. I bought the turkey, the cranberry juices, my dad's V8 juice but I forgot the most important part of Thanksgiving dinner, the jellied cranberries. I also got little pearl white potatoes for the turkey instead of the baked ones my dad wanted, it's different and I bought the dinner this year so my say in potatoes. And I got 30 points for Motherloade which is good because fourth place is not so nice.

Ani-Mei, don't worry! You've still got time to get your last-minute supplies. And whoever buys the dinner gets to determine what's in the dinner. I'm sure your little potatoes will be delicious, especially if you roast or mash them!

I was thinking of roasting them with the turkey in the pan, and they don't need to be peeled.

I love the idea of being "Sexy x" where x = something that is totally unsexy, or weird
Last year I went as "Sexy FAFSA"... complete with financial aid accessories. Idk, I'm thinking: A sexy artichoke. Sexy shrub. Sexy Christmas tree. Sexy fire hydrant. Sexy pencil. Sexy refrigerator. I'm definitely still brainstorming

If all fails I might just go as a Sim... I could copy the costume I saw somewhere on the internet that was a nude Sim: where (you are not actually nude but) you have a plumbbob and the censor

I'll be hosting a Halloween party the week after Halloween, since during the week we get off from school that includes Halloween I'm going to be *gasp* IN THE STATES! Florida, to be more exact.

I made a zombie schoolgirl costume for myself last year but because our "Friday dress-up" event at school got canceled I didn't get the chance to wear it!

I hope all my fellow Canucks had a fantastic Thanksgiving - sounds like you all had nice plans! I hosted a "Friendsgiving" for the second year in the row (despite vowing, after last year's 24-pounder, to never cook a turkey again)... It was actually a ton of fun, and I had an equally enjoyable dinner with my family the next night, followed by a marathon fabric shopping trip with my badass Grandma.

Which brings us to Halloween!! October basically means I cease eating and sleeping because of costume commissions... I'm making at least five this year, so I'm pretty stoked. Livy, I've said it before - your Ruby costume is... how do the young and hip say it? On point?

I'm also directing a 10-team quidditch tournament this month which just adds to the stress, but with all of this excitement happening on Boolprop I can't not be in a good mood.

Also Chase, please be a sexy artichoke.
