Hello! New Member Here!

Post by anelesrelwof »

Hi all!

I'm Aneles (or, Selena, backwards).

I'm not too sure what to say about myself. I'm 29, and a stay at home mom and full time psychology student. I have four children (two stepkids, two bio, only the stepkids and one bio live me with me; my youngest lives with her dad, with no hard feelings) and am currently working on my B.S. in Experimental Psychology.

I've played the Sims since I was...oh, 10 maybe? I barely remember TS2 for PC (though my brother still has it), but my first real introduction was TS2 for PS2. My brother and I would spend hours playing (and fighting). I'm currently playing TS4, as my laptop is old and overheats badly if I play TS3. That said, I LOVE TS3. The customization in that game is amazing, and I wish they had brought back CASt for TS4. I do, however, enjoy TS4 quite a bit.

I enjoy playing Legacies, and have even started writing a couple, but I always get sidetracked. I'm here to make new Simming buddies and hopefully to get enough readers when I start a new Legacy blog to encourage me to continue, lol.

It's nice to meet you all! :))

Hello back aneles -
We're a bunch that's glad to have new simming buddies!
If your brother still plays his TS2, you might try and drag him along to Boolprop with you sometime. ^^
I vividly remember chunks of TS1(owing to how much I played, I heard the neighborhood music in my dreams once) but am quite loyal and happy with TS2 atm.
I took Sociology and Psychology in high school as electives and found both as fascinating as I'd hoped they would be. Not sure how I'd do as a professional in the field tho. :shifty:

Welcome; chat, play games and rant with us! :drinks:

I also went to college and got my BS in psychology
I also play TS4. You can find many things to do around here. Everyone is really nice and this is just a great little sim community to be a part of :heartbeat:

Thank you all for the warm welcomes! :))

Pony, I will be sure to check out the Games section! I've explored a little, but I'm sure it will take a little bit of time to get to know the board really well.

Snazzle, I might have to check yours out, too! It looks like you have links in your siggy. Are they still active?

Modelmgt, that's not too shabby of an idea lol. Looks like I need to send him the link for Boolprop. Idk if he takes many pictures or would be interested in any storytelling; however, he might appreciate some of the ideas, tips, tricks, or CC the board has to offer! I can't actually remember ever playing TS1, except on PS2. It was very basic, but still fun, and ahead of its time! And actually, I've been having dreams concerning my Sims and myself as a Sim here lately  I've been on a binge. As for psychology, I'm not sure how well a fit it will be for me as a career, but I do know it's something that I absolutely love, and I never seem to get bored of it. I'm trying to fine tune my path, and I *think* experimental will be fun. Neuroscience is also interesting but it's a bit more work

Cororon, I'm sure I will! I was once a part of a community like this, with a different topic. I met some lifelong friends (15+ years now; actually got to visit two over this past summer!) and it was an integral part of my teenage years. I'm glad to be here! :heartbeat:

JCampbell, ooooh, see, I knew there were kindred souls here! Lol! And I'm excited to be here. It does seem like a great little community!

Livvielove, luckily, my laptop is about on its last legs and I need a computer for school (online classes), sooo I should be able to get a new one in the Springtime :)) Not gonna lie, I'm really excited for it! Although my old beastie here has served me quite well for the past...four? years. It's a good machine, but the shell is so flimsy that after a few drops, it's literally falling apart lol. I guess my point to that ramble was that it won't be long before I'm able to play Sims 3 again, so I will send good vibes right back to you! :heartbeat:

Welcome! Good luck in your degree. Psychology can be a great choice for people who want to work, but spend lots of time with their kids.

TS3 was my favourite, but I never bought all the packs and then I caved and got TS4, so that's what I'm playing now. I have all of TS2 (because it was free) and I want to go back sometime and experience all the things that I didn't have the first time around. The graphics are really important to me, though, so it's hard to go back.

Cheers!

Heatherfeather, thank you! ^^

Candiedgala, well, it sounds like I'm in the right field then! Lol. I like being a stay at home mom for now. I worked a lot when my oldest was a baby and I always felt like I was missing out. I can't wait to be able to make my own hours, and perhaps even work from home!

Also, TS2 was free at some point?! Is it still available for free anywhere (legally)? I would LOVE to play it again! (I've only played a little on my brother's, and I don't think I really got a good feel for it.)

And honestly, after buying quite a few expansion packs and stuff packs for 3 (actually, I think most were gifts, but shh ;) ), I ended up pirating all of them after a while. :X It's okay now though; I went back to just the stuff that I had actually purchased. :P It's all waiting for me to download it again.

TS2 was free a few years ago, to promote TS4. I don't think you can still get it. :(

You can but you have to prove that you once owned a copy of it (via Serial Code).
