School Grades
School Grades
How much harder is it in this game to get kids a good grade at school, especially as a child?! Having 2 skills as level 4 is a huge requirement to just get away from a C?
As with alot of other aspects of the game, i guess it does make it more realistic, and harder but maaaan. I barely ever have any kids in my legacy get above a C in school.

Re: School Grades
The first level isn't too bad - the skills level fairly quickly. But the next level is 4 skills at level 4 plus a friend or something like that. Most of my kids were able to get a B but the As were rare.
Re: School Grades
Ugh, I find them near impossible. Especially if you are trying to do that and the aspiration that gets them an extra trait.
Re: School Grades
Yeah, that is awful.
Seeing that, I can only imagine the new horrors we'll have to live when we finally get toddlers back.

Re: School Grades
After some trial and error I did manage to get all three of my gen 3 kids to A's as children and teens. As for Gen 4.... since there isn't really any point in going to school as a child, the first-born's only gone once. Grandma's happy to write her excuse notes, although apparently you can't do that every day. Still testing that out.

You can write excuse notes? Where is that option?

Re: School Grades
It's from the writing skill, level 3 I think!
Re: School Grades
Wow, didnt know about the excuse notes! Ill have to look into that.
I guess as i play my legacy more, and we get more money and such it may be easier. None of my kids this generation have gotten above a C. I just find there isnt enough time to do both aspiration, school and keep their needs up. I guess i kinda like it though, this game is alot more challenging and i like it!

Re: School Grades
Is there any point beyond lifetime aspirations? In Sims3 if they had bad grades you couldn't choose the trait or they had a random negative one. In Sims4 it seems to make no difference later on in life.

Re: School Grades
For a child, unless you're in the Whiz Kid line it makes no difference at all. For a teen, if you get an A, you start at level 3 of a career instead of level 1. That's about all I know.
Re: School Grades
Adult Sims with the Successful Lineage Aspiration need to have a child with an A, too.
