Re: Build a City Challenge Chat

Hello everyone! Despite running a BACC since January, I had not yet dropped by this thread... major oversight on my part, really. Anyway, I wanted to see if I could get some feedback on a few custom rules I'm considering. Some of them are extra restrictions, while some of them let me unlock a thema...

Re: Build a City Challenge Chat

I'm trying to start up my own BaCC, but I want to do so on a clean neighbourhood, and the guides out there are pretty useless, so far. Do any of you have experience with setting up a clean neighbourhood with the ultimate collection? And if so, could anybody throw me a few tips, because I am complet...

Re: What's Going On In Your Game?

I spent a lot of time debugging my game, and it runs great now!

I'm doing taxes in New Edenia, and occasionally running the Booprop Family for my baby boom challenge... trying to get them all the money that they need.

Re: Build a City Challenge Chat

Halfway through the final round of year 1, and it's tax time! ... Why do I do things that require math? XD. It's looking like the community will be able to repay the loan that Gibson took out to start the school, and hopefully start funding a city hall expansion and/or the business district that we ...

Since last time, - Wellesley "Wells" Mawar was born to Brynne and Michael Mawar - Julia and Lucas Lane were born to Casilda and Toby Lane - Drake Ultra was born to Denise and Jasen Ultra Ashleigh Mawar-Du Vall and Casilda Lane are both pregnant again. Ashleigh's is with Gibson again (perha...

Re: Build a City Challenge Chat

I finally fixed my game: it was a graphics card update after all. :)

(The cleaning wasn't in vain, as I now know how to make objects collection file only...)

Re: Build a City Challenge Chat

I wonder if we were to take a count on how many challenges fail because of computer issues, would it be 75% or more? I'm pretty sure it would not be less. That or being forced to move to a new computer. I'm troubleshooting New Edenia, which has been crashing for some reason. Hood Checker hasn't giv...

Re: What's Going On In Your Game?

I've finally tracked down a crashing issue that has been delaying how I play New Edenia, my BACC. It turns out I futzed up majorly with the lot adjuster and this *might* be a problem for all my families. That said, I can still enter all but one house in the neighborhood, so I'm going to take precaut...

Re: What's Going On In Your Game?

I'm almost a year into a BACC now. I've got sixteen playable adults, eleven children, three kids on the way, and a total of I think fifteen businesses.

I'm also due a baby alien very soon. ;)

Re: Build a City Challenge Chat

That's awesome! Sounds like you're off to a great start. :) I just got my population up to 600, which is the highest I've ever gotten it in all my attempts at a BACC in the past. I actually unlocked service calls for once! XD I think I actually might be able to get to 50,000 this time without getti...

Re: Build a City Challenge Chat

I just got Casilda Lane abducted (on accident) so I'm going to have my first alien in the neighborhood!

My total population is now 27, and only five of those sims are CAS additions. (I started with 11 sims, Nepheris style.

Re: Build a City Challenge Chat

I'm not currently using an aging mod, but I did use one for a while that made the adult stage longer, teen stage shorter, and changed child and toddler slightly without making them too crazy. I haven't used it with my new BACC though, mostly because it doesn't affect born-in-game-PlantSims, which w...

Re: Build a City Challenge Chat

I'm having an internal debate about increasing my custom lifespan setup. On the one hand, it feels more realistic to increase the ages, on the other, I can't find a skilling hack that would decrease skilling to something like 75% of the vanilla game speed, which would make it feel more balanced to m...

Am I necro-ing this? Anyway, sims born in New Edenia since June, in no particular order: Sakichi Kyo was born to Tesla (Krakow) and Sura Kyo Wellesley Mawar was born to Mikael (Ultra) and Brynne Mawar Harmony Mawar-Du Vall was born to Ashleigh Du Vall and Gibson Mawar Valeria Lane was born to Toby (...

Re: Neglecting your family friends? Need to catch up faster?

I actually use something similar a lot for when I need to have a sim play "matchmaker" or bring up the relationships of two sims who dislike each other without being furious. Since sims in a hangout circle automatically gain relationship with all the other circle members, this is great for...

Re: Build a City Challenge (Hollywood Edition)

I like this a lot, but don't have the time to devote to a new BACC... so I think I'm going to subject some new, moved-in townies to the beginning stages of this at the beginning of spring. :) It should be fun - I love playing sims who live off the land, and this shouldn't be too much harder for me t...

Re: Build a City Challenge Chat

I'm on to winter with two families with no income other than crafting, digging and gardening, so this should be lots of fun.

They won't starve though, they both have full fridges.
